The Tuesday Night Classics series is dedicated to showing popular favorites and forgotten gems from the height of early 20th century film-making. Generally on the first and third Tuesday of the month, this is a great way to experience a film from the Golden Age of Hollywood in a theater from that era. Friends of the Normal Theater receive free admission.
In addition to regular programming, a movie beginning at 10:30 pm is shown on Friday nights. These films are pop culture favorites, B-Movies, and cult classics, with the focus on having fun at the theater.
Monday Live Comedy Nights is a free series of 90-minute open mic comedy nights hosted by Illinois State University’s Normal Humor.
Friends of the Normal Theater is an annual membership program that supports the theater in bringing the kind of film entertainment not found anywhere else in the community. Contributions assist the theater in showing a variety of classic, independent and world cinema programming, and helps maintain the beautiful theater. Friends of the Normal Theater receive complimentary admission to the Tuesday Night Classics series.
Beyond Normal Films is an outside organization that advises the Normal Theater. Learn more about the non-profit organization at beyondnormalfilms.org
