Adult Fitness

Normal Parks and Recreation offers fitness programs for all ages and abilities! Instructors will tailor classes to the participant. Check out our current formats below!

All adult fitness classes will meet at the 
Community Activity Center - Fitness Room.

A water aerobics class held in waist to chest deep water that lets you work out without putting additional stress on your muscles, bones and joints. This class is held at Fairview Family Aquatic Center on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00-9:00am. The fee is $2 per visit. Participants must be 15 or older. FLYER (PDF)

Aqua Zumba 

Perfect for those looking to make a splash by adding a low-impact, high-energy aquatic exercise to their fitness routine! Aqua Zumba blends the Zumba philosophy with water's natural resistance. Total Body Blast 
Take your fitness to the next level with this total body workout guaranteed to make you feel the burn as you sculpt and tone your body! Participants use body weight and dumbbells as they flow through a series of exercises designed to improve fitness and muscular strength. FLYER (PDF)

Vinyasa Heart-Beat 

This class combines Vinyasa Yoga flow with music that makes you want to move! The flow is designed to get your heart racing while building strength and getting a deep stretch through movement. FLYER (PDF)


Learn or review basic asanas (postures), practice breath work and meditation in a relaxing environment while building strength, increasing flexibility, and improving balance. Block and straps furnished. FLYER (PDF)
